Inspired by the men who built Britain's shipyards, the story of the Pegasus Trouser begins on the banks of the River Tyne.

In 1954, my grandfather started work as an apprentice electrician at Hawthorn Leslie.

Long days on the yard demanded clothing that was comfortable and hard wearing.

Workwear of the era was never designed to make a statement. It existed to serve a purpose.

That philosophy led us to the cloth itself.

Made from a heavyweight peached twill - in a straight leg silhouette - we designed the Pegasus Cut to strike the balance between durability and everyday comfort.

Staying true to our commitment to British manufacturing, we sourced the fabric from a historic mill in the North of England that has been weaving cloth since 1858.

Designed and cut in London, the Trouser combines British heritage and contemporary craftsmanship.

Every pair is brought to life through through care and a respect for traditional making.

Each trouser is individually numbered and hand stamped as a limited run of just 30 pairs.

A small detail, but one that reflects our approach creating garments with a sense of care and identity.
